Kitchen Gadget

i’ve got a Bamix immersion blender that I actually gave to my mother as a present in 1984 and inherited after her passing. It still works and it’s absolutely fantastic.

Always wondered why my older coworkers call an immersion blender a “burr mixer”

Bamix is the best immersion blender you can buy. I've had mine for 30 years. They may be confused and combining burr grinder and immersion blender.

What’s NOT worth spending money on in the kitchen?

My Bamix immersion blender is a workhorse and is one of the best kitchen purchases I've ever made. I love that thing.

Two or three bamix? Or two or three immersion blenders? I thought they were indestructible 😃, I’ve had mine about 30 years.

Can immersion blenders scratch Demareyer stainless steel pots?

they will only scratch if you scrape the thing backwards and forwards, which is NOT the way to use an immersion blender. I have had a Bamix for many years. NEVER scratched a pan with it.

What’s the best practical gift you’ve ever received (or given)?

I got given an immersion blender (bamix) when I turned 21. I'm 38 and I still use it multiple times a week. Make smoothies, blend soups, it's so handy and quick to wash
