You're totally right, though half the reason I wanted an immersion blender is so that I have the option of not whippibg things manually, so it's a bummer that a Bamix gets outperformed by cheapo ones in this regard just because those come with an actual wire whisk attachment.

After using a variety of immersion blenders daily over the course of decades, we learned that they all have a finite lifetime (i.e., they all eventually fail). On the recommendation of a friend, we splurged and bought a Bamix. Worst .decision..ever. The Bamix, though it has a powerful motor, is the
