Am I overreacting? Maintenance man came in my house without my permission.
adding to this- when i lived in a house, i've had many random people ring my doorbell (likely to scope out if anyone is home). one time i opened the door without checking the viewer, and they came up with an excuse that they're answering an ad to rent a room then quickly left when i said wrong addre

Knocking on my door at 3:14 AM
Ring doorbell (or a cheaper one will work perfectly fine). You can get a Blink video door bell for $29.99 and a no drill mount (if that's a problem since your in an apartment) for $9.99-16.99. I do contract work as a private investigator. Thats the easiest one. You can get all types of hidden ones f

Officially Done with Arlo
I took down all of my Arlo equipment, which was 10 cameras and three hubs. I was having horrible problems with the software not recognizing that the three hubs are in different locations, so I could no longer arm/disarm each system separately, which was a deal breaker for me. I went all in on Blink,

No peephole in apartment door. Is there a doorbell camera that is good for renters (minimal damage and no real access to a power source) and is not easy to steal??
Blink makes a decent and affordable video doorbell that runs on batteries and works surprisingly well. They range from $30-$60 here in the U.S.

New cameras
Your existing doorbell wiring doesn't power the Blink doorbell camera in any way whatsoever. I've had batteries that lasted well over 2 years with the 1st gen doorbell and it's been so far, so good with the 2nd gen. And that's with using both with a sync module. My advice is to not try to use the do

Has anyone switched from ring?
I’ve had Blink outdoor cameras and a Ring doorbell. I’m grandfathered in to the Blink system. I just ditched my Ring doorbell because the subscription is due next month. When I first started using Ring doorbells (this is my second) the yearly subscription was something like $20. Since Amazon bought

Salesman said no more contracts for vivint only month to month sounded too good to be true

Phantom ringing on Chime but no doorbell press??
I doubt it's the Blink doorbell. Something is completing the circuit, whether it's chewed wiring or a fault in the chime itself. I've even seen it caused by dead bugs inside doorbell buttons and ants nesting in chimes.

What you get without subscription?
I’ve been using Blink without a subscription for two years now. While I had some issues with video not recording on the usb drive, this seems to have been solved since early this year. It’s fine for me. I get notifications and I can see missed doorbell rings or movement recordings via the app. I don

Looking for assistance on what to get.
As long as the bundle contains the sync module, you'll have everything you need. Download the Blink app to your phone/devices, install, and you're all set. Note: if the video doorbell is second gen and doesn't want to sync at first, it might be the same issue I just faced where the sync module didn'
