Am I overreacting? Maintenance man came in my house without my permission.
adding to this- when i lived in a house, i've had many random people ring my doorbell (likely to scope out if anyone is home). one time i opened the door without checking the viewer, and they came up with an excuse that they're answering an ad to rent a room then quickly left when i said wrong addre

Knocking on my door at 3:14 AM
Ring doorbell (or a cheaper one will work perfectly fine). You can get a Blink video door bell for $29.99 and a no drill mount (if that's a problem since your in an apartment) for $9.99-16.99. I do contract work as a private investigator. Thats the easiest one. You can get all types of hidden ones f

Need serious insight
100% agree …..I’m the type that wants proof if you tell me something (yes I’m overly suspicious of people), so better to have a ring/blink camera. Like someone said below if a neighbor is vandalizing your peephole you will have proof if they try to do same to the doorbell camera. My neighbor had his

Getting robbed or overthinking?
Report to your leasing office/landlord for sure, even if it’s nothing. And as others have stated, get a video doorbell if you can. We have a blink with a metal arm that goes around the door. Not fully impossible to tamper with, but you have to have the right teeny tiny screwdriver to undo the camera

Toxic in-laws harassing my wife after LC/NC boundary—now using house sale to force contact. Don’t feel safe at home. Advice needed.
Just block completely. Get a doorbell camera (blink makes one that’s not crazy expensive). If they show up, tell they’re not welcome, you can talk through the camera if you don’t want to answer. If they show up refuse to leave or keep showing up involve the police

Officially Done with Arlo
I took down all of my Arlo equipment, which was 10 cameras and three hubs. I was having horrible problems with the software not recognizing that the three hubs are in different locations, so I could no longer arm/disarm each system separately, which was a deal breaker for me. I went all in on Blink,

No peephole in apartment door. Is there a doorbell camera that is good for renters (minimal damage and no real access to a power source) and is not easy to steal??
Blink makes a decent and affordable video doorbell that runs on batteries and works surprisingly well. They range from $30-$60 here in the U.S.
