Any way to fix these awful top bottom white space on Read articles?

Agree entirely. It is shocking, actually how little energy they seemingly put into their native reader. This is the top bottom margin using Koreader on it. With what it gives on the Read extension I might as well just use my 6" Boox Go and it's the exact same page. Irrelevant sidenote, the width of

First ereader

I heartily dislike the Amazon UI. I can't manipulate metadata as I wish. Between Calibre and Google Drive or DropBox integration (depending on the model), I'd recommend Kobo. I have a Boox Go 6 which is fine but much more fiddly for the reading experience. I bought it for Hoopla and other apps but o

Setup guide for Onyx Boox Go 6

You can't uninstall Boox software If you search around on this forum for Boox 6 guide or setup or something like that you'll find posts from a guy that says what to do to try to get the Go 6 to work well without a lot of crashes and slowdown. I forget the person's name but it gets posted a lot. Look

Best boox for manga

Don't get the boox go 6. It's old and slow. If you want a 6 inch get the bigme b6 its a lot better. The 7 inch boox go 7 is a lot better for reading comics and much faster than the go 6. If you don't need color don't get one as your primary reader, they are great as a second ereader, I have one and

Boox go 6 is now one of my favourite for reading!

I advise you not to update the firmware. The newest firmware of Boox Go 6 is terrible. It slows down the device a bit and ruins the eink experience (create more ghosts and flicker @@)

kobo clara bw or boox go 6 for ao3 fanfics?

Boox is much easier if you’re mainly downloading fanfics, though there are ways to make the process better on Kobo. Can you wait for an upgrade to the Boox Go 6 (assuming one is coming)? Google ended security updates for Android 11 in 2024. I’m not sure why Boox is still shipping those devices, give

BOOX Go 6 vs PocketBook Verse vs Kobo Clara BW

So i can't speak about Pocketbook but from anecdotal stories i've heard, they seem pretty solid (i bet a bunch of the amazon reviews weren't willing to do the work to get it set up). I have a Kobo Clara BW and i love it to bits (even though it's not my primary reader anymore). I can say the OS is de

Small e-reader, which one?

The boox palma to me is overpriced for what it is. I would look at the bigme b6 if its avaliable. The size is a little wider and shorter but still six inch, to me its a more natural format, the palma screen is too narrow to me. There also a boox go 6 but its kinda slow, but if you are using it for r

PocketBook users: what matters most to you?

For me, the UI is the most important thing, not necessarily speed. I used to have an Onyx Boox running Android, and it was a nightmare. After switching to a Pocketbook, I started enjoying using it precisely because of the user interface, even though it runs slower than Onyx.

grayscale or color for photophobia?

You should check out plastic recessed screens instead of glass flush ones. Less reflections, and higher contrast -> deeper blacks, both of them meaning you don't need to raise the light too much. It also means indoors during the day you don't need much light to see it without lighting i have some li
