Bought an Onyx Boox Go 7 - battery lasts 1–2 days. Should I get a Kindle Paperwhite and gift the Onyx?
How many hours a day are you reading? And do you keep wifi on and the frontlight on? With wifi off and frontlight halfway up, I get ~12-14 hours of reading out of my Boox Go 7 Colour Gen II, which for me would translate to 7-10 days of reading. I’d assume that the BW version would last longer as I w

Boox Go 7 Launcher worth it?
Time to write this out again. Get into the actual full android settings. Some boox devices have that option natively while others don't. Download Olauncher (home replacement I use) launch it and open the settings app. Go down to about device, tap the build number like ten times and enable developer

RIP Kindle Oasis - What's next?
There are a few Android eInk devices that are very similar to the 7’’ Oasis 2 and 3 in size and shape - Boox Go 7 for example, but there are others. They won’t have the battery life of good dedicated e-readers (Kindle, Kobo, PocketBook) but offer all sorts of flexibility. (And battery life isn’t as

Does anyone have experience playing on OGS with a Bigme B6 or other e-reader?
Boox go 7 color (2) Sente works well, along with most other go apps. I also used the BW version but decided the color was worth it since not all the UIs worked very well on BW. Battery life is somewhat worse, and with the backlight on the whites are fine

HELP ME CHOOSE!
Check what's draining your battery in the settings. My boox go 7 lasts weeks without a charge in standby and I read almost every night.

Best colored e-reader?
I have a Kobo libra colour and the Boox go 7 colour gen 2. I have a micro sd card filled with books and manga. My boox go 7 gen 2 is my absolute favourite. Since the last update bookcovers finally look better on the Boox than on the Kobo. It’s sleek and smaller and just a really nice device. Snappy,

On your Boox, have you tried turning off wifi, bluetooth and speakers whenever you're not using them? Also don't forget to turn off (freeze) the apps that you don't really need from running in the background when you're not using them, eg. browsers. Boox's battery is not the greatest esp compared to

I have the boox go color 7 gen 1 and I get over a week of constant use per charge. It will never last as long as a kindle though. Turning it onto airplane mode after I download a book makes a big difference in battery life.

Help me decide - Boox vs. Kobo
I was stuck on same decision. I really wish Kobo had hoopla support as that use case was the only thing holding me back. I got a Boox Go 7 bw this past week and have basically only used Hoopla. My libraries Libby books have wait times for the books I’m interested in so I’m on waiting lists. Hoopla h

Picking the right E-reader.
Onyx Boox is a solid brand that’s been making Android eInk devices for years. They’re well built and offer a lot of flexibility (especially important for anyone who wants to use their local library or subscription service like Storytel etc, which requires using their own app and doesn’t allow downlo
