Apparently the black version has less glare. I have the black one at home, its a great device, i don’t feel like it has too much glare. The 2 big non-Kindle brands are Kobo and Onyx Boox. the difference being that Boox is Android-based so you can download different apps while Kobo is a closed system like Kindle.
