BOSE QuietComfort Ultra (2. Gen.) Headphones ruined after February Update
Unfortunately I only can exchange them for another pair in my country. I bought them directly from Bose and there isn’t an option to return them. I’ll probably wait a little if there will be a fix of the update, but if not I’ll either try to ask Bose for a refund or will sell them. Edit: what’s even

QC vs QC Ultra (Gen 1) – worth +60€?
I was really torn between these two models as well. From what I’ve read, the 1st Gen Ultras can be quite problematic. People mentioned that because the volume buttons aren’t physical, there are times when they just don’t register a touch. Also, I heard that the Spatial Audio doesn't work quite like

ANC Headphones? What do you use/recommend
I had XM5s before, but they broke. They were pretty good, and broke because I'm a dumbass, and not a manufacturing defect. As a replacement, I got myself a pair of Bose QuietComfort Ultra 2 Over-ear headphones. I'm NT, but my partner is autistic. They had inherited my "old" XM4s, but when they tried

Help me choose! 🎧
My XM2's are still going strong like 8 years later. I just whipped them out again after one of the earpads on my QC Ultra tore clean open after not even 1 year of use and I treat them pretty well. Apparently a very common issue. Now I'm debating spending $50 on replacement cushions. Also to be perfe

The bass is out of this world
What an objective piece of shit headset. As someone who spends far, far more time with headphones than average (I travel for work; 150+ flights a year), you DO NOT want them this loud with that much bass. Fast way to get tinnitus/hearing loss. High quality active noise cancelling (ANC) is king. Redu

Bose QC Ultra Gen 2 – clunking and cracking noises still an issue?
After half a year of being happy with my QuietComfort Ultra 2, I have also started hearing the cracking noise. I'm thinking about going for the XM6 now, and I'm just a bit worried about their fit, as the BOSE are perfect.

Looking for Headphones with the Best Noise Cancelling (Work & Reading Focus)
Sony is largely considered the top tier noise canceling headphones, they also have ldac capabilities so you also get near lossless sound quality, but a lot of people find the frequency they use for anc to be rather uncomfortable. So it's a trade off. This is for widely available commercial grade hea

[rant] QC Ultra: Fire the guy who invented this hellish power button
Assuming you're talking about the Gen 1: Make sure you update the firmware in the app. I had similar issues with the power button, until a firmware update that "improved the power-on experience" or something to that effect. Yes the regular QC's slider switch is still more intuitive, abut the update

My Bose Quiet Comfort Ultra were flooded.
Unfortunately yeah, no IP rating on these — that's one of the biggest misses Bose still hasn't fixed even on the new Gen 2. Put them in a bag of silica gel packets or uncooked rice for 48 hours, but honestly if the blue light is acting weird it's probably done. Worth noting for the future: Gen 2 sti
