QC vs QC Ultra (Gen 1) – worth +60€?

I was really torn between these two models as well. From what I’ve read, the 1st Gen Ultras can be quite problematic. People mentioned that because the volume buttons aren’t physical, there are times when they just don’t register a touch. Also, I heard that the Spatial Audio doesn't work quite like

ANC Headphones? What do you use/recommend

I had XM5s before, but they broke. They were pretty good, and broke because I'm a dumbass, and not a manufacturing defect. As a replacement, I got myself a pair of Bose QuietComfort Ultra 2 Over-ear headphones. I'm NT, but my partner is autistic. They had inherited my "old" XM4s, but when they tried

The bass is out of this world

What an objective piece of shit headset. As someone who spends far, far more time with headphones than average (I travel for work; 150+ flights a year), you DO NOT want them this loud with that much bass. Fast way to get tinnitus/hearing loss. High quality active noise cancelling (ANC) is king. Redu

Looking for Headphones with the Best Noise Cancelling (Work & Reading Focus)

Sony is largely considered the top tier noise canceling headphones, they also have ldac capabilities so you also get near lossless sound quality, but a lot of people find the frequency they use for anc to be rather uncomfortable. So it's a trade off. This is for widely available commercial grade hea

[rant] QC Ultra: Fire the guy who invented this hellish power button

Assuming you're talking about the Gen 1: Make sure you update the firmware in the app. I had similar issues with the power button, until a firmware update that "improved the power-on experience" or something to that effect. Yes the regular QC's slider switch is still more intuitive, abut the update

Earbuds based on what you need them for

I'm curious why Bose QC Ultras aren't mentioned as often as I remember. Is it because the software/connection/reliability is so bad and people are sick of it the last few years? I bought the QC IIs new 2 years ago, had issues after 4 months, they sent me new QC Ultras. Most issues fixed, but just un

Anyone else fed up of waiting for the Momentum M5?

Yep, I agree. My problem with this hobby, or just in general, is when people outright say one tuning is “better” than another. It really isn’t. It’s all up to the listener. If they like that tuning, however wonky it might be in relation to a specific target, then more power to them. There are soooo

skull crusher evo’s or Bose quiet comfort ultra?

What did u end up getting. I got a pair of qc ultra for $299 cad, so about 218.38 USD on a Bose sale. Good Improvement over the QC 35/45/700 in all areas except for comfort. Oh and the Bass IMO is just as good if not better on the Bose.

How bad is the ANC on the Momentum 4?

There isn't much of a difference with the XM4 in terms of ANC. But in terms of durability, sound quality, and battery life? Defo go with the Sennheiser. Speaking from someone who owns/owned Bose QC45, QC Ultra, XM4 and 5, APM, and M4. If I were to pick two daily driver headphones, it'd be the QCU an

Favorite headphones?

Bose QC Ultra Gen 2 for when I’m going out, amazing noise canceling that doesn’t make me feel dizzy and super comfortable, Sennheiser Momentum 4 for staying at home or on super low noise environments, noise canceling isn’t as good but they’re comfortable to wear and have good sound quality. :) Both
