Tell me the best story you have about buying something for your kitchen
I don't have a great story, but a year and a half ago, my husband bought a Breville Barista Touch Impress espresso machine during Black Friday. I thought it was a waste of $800. Damn if I don't use that thing every single day.

My Humble Setup
These down voters are probably laughing thinking they're witty while using a Breville that costs more than my machine. I paid $439 for mine. The Breville Bambino Plus costs like $75 more. The Breville Barista Touch that has a subpar grinder included costs like $1k. I paid less than that for both the

What would you do?
Idk what everyone’s on about with the quality. Plastic is not inherently bad when done correctly. I’m not going to sit here and say it’s my ideal choice, but I’ve owned a dozen different machines from $600 to $2400 and I’d say the build quality on the ES1 is actually impressive. Granted, I have my c

Which Breville to Buy? [$800 Budget]
A general rule of thumb is that grind quality is more important than the espresso machine. I owned the Breville Barista Touch for about 6 months before I upgraded because of this fact. The machine was great EXCEPT for the grinder. All Breville machines use a CONICAL grinder, which is so-so. A much b

Oracle Jet or Barista Touch Impress
The price difference between the Breville Barista Touch Impress and the Breville Oracle Jet is pretty hard to overlook. The Touch Impress usually sells for around $1,500, while the Oracle Jet tends to land in the $2,800–$3,000 range. That’s roughly a $1,300–$1,500 jump, and for most home users the u

I did the math so you don’t have to: Breville ROI = 60-80 pulls
Wow I got my Breville barista touch for $1k 3-4 years ago, the grinder sucks but it makes great espresso! You def need a bottomless portafilter, I’d say get a 22-24G basket, WDT or shaker, scale and a calibrated tamper. Buy some good brand names specialty beans and you’ll be having great espresso, l

Is a semi automatic machine the right choice for me? [Budget € 1000 - 2500]
I am in the same boat and I am almost ready to switch from Z10 to Breville (Sage) Barista Touch Impress - the only thing is that I would really love to compare the machines side by side.

What add-on/modification has been most worthwhile for you?
Breville Barista Touch Impress here: Best upgrade for me was IMS basket and bottomless portafilter. I went with the IMS Big Bang & IMS precision baskets. The Big Bang basket is my daily driver.I did see a slight difference upgrading to the IMS precision nanotech shower screen. But IMO, the baskets w
