Hi all, I recently got a fairly cheap setup to take pics of the Moon and some other stuff and finally got a chance to give it a go.

This was taken at about 25 minutes before sunset today on an 11% waxing crescent Moon. I stacked 10 images at 1/4000, ISO 6400, that I took with a Canon EOS-R100 mirro

I was messing around with a friends Canon EOS R100 and their 400mm lens and captured this mid-day. Still one of my favorite moon pics taken to date.

Yesterday i was able to attach my Mirrorless camera to the telescope amd i got this. I know it can be better but i guess it's ok for a first try. On another sub i asked what would be necessary to be able to focus on a reflector telescope and that lead me to buying a new barlow lens. 900/114 telescop

I've been birding since June and I really like taking pics of what I see, but all I have is my phone and I'm tired of the shit quality. Would this EOS R100 lens kit be a worthwhile step up from a phone? Or do I need to get something fancier to make the investment pay off?

why do u want a full frame camera? limiting yourself to that means that your budget gives you very few choices i own one full frame camera and three crop sensor cameras. The crop sensor ones are better for travel. smaller and lighter. Modern crop sensor cameras are almost as good in low light as mod

buying a brand new t7 in 2025 is a bit of a waste of money. the r100 is basically the same camera, but mirrorless, and it doesn't cost much more. I'd recommend going used, however. websites like mpb have plenty of used camera gear for a much better price than you'll get a brand new older camera for,
