So glad to have the Swallows back!
Thank you! Canon R5Mk2 + RF100-500. The auto focus ability of that combo is insane. It helps so much, but there is a ton of patience, getting to know the behavior of the animals as there is a pattern to their madness, and of course a ton of missed shots. Precapture is on, but only really makes a dif

New Photography Niche
Good luck. For a car show any camera will be fine. There's two types of fast. Fast lenses are low aperture number (very large opening) that catch a lot of light in low-light scenarios, like car shows inside big halls. The trade-off is insanely small focus area and insane price. Then there's fast fps

Focus-Points Plugin for Lightroom can now also 'Straighten Images'
This is very interesting and a potentially enormous benefit for sports shooting - especially bursts. LrC currently has an issue (which I reported and dcoumented with Adobe and they have in queue to repair) with Syncing across images related to Transform, rendering any sort of mass Transform-Leveling

My photo of the Jerami Grant dunk!
I think the R3, at the time, was overpriced - now, it's "okay". My main body is actually the R5mk2! Which I think the R5 series is the best bang for buck, it's fast enough, it has a higher MP, and all needs like Pre-Capture. The lens is what Canon has over Sony, but honestly if I were to start from

Why *can't* the BMPCC4k be used for photography?
It can certainly be used for CERTAIN TYPES of photography but it certainly won’t be as well rounded of a “photo” tool as a Canon R5 mark ii. I mean you could certainly do staged photos and certain product photos but it would be awful to use for street photography because it doesn’t shoot fast enough

Just a mom with her camera
I posted a while ago, but I also shoot lacrosse and here are my recommendations: Getting a camera with fast autofocus and player tracking has been Huge for me. I moved from an R8 to the R5m2 (Canon). Won't go into the specs, but you can find similar cameras from Sony and Nikon. Preshooting and highs

Anyone doing weddings or event photography with X2D II ? How’s the experience.
Shoot group shots and posed bridal portraits with the X2D, everything else on the wedding day (or events) is with Canon R5IIs. I love the Hassy, but it’s a much slower experience, so doesn’t keep up with more fast paced weddings and events.

Rugby 7s
Everything was shot on a Canon R5ii with the RF 100-300 f/2.8 at 1/1600s | f/2.8 | ISO 100. It's hard to beat the convenience of this do-it-all single camera setup, even if sometimes I wish I had more reach, and others a wider FOV...

Autofocus LUMIX S1R II vs r5 mark 2 for photo (not worried about video)
Agree. Lumix is relativly new to AF and for action, sport there better options there like Canon R5II and Sony A7V, but my S1II is faster and stickier than my Sony A7IV even with Sony lenses.
