Is Nikon Z50 II better than Canon R50 bundle for a beginner?
I wouldn't recommend the R50 as the growth potential is lower. The Z50II has the better processor, imaging recipes for fun, and nikon imaging cloud support (auto uploads to lightroom/google drive/dropbox). I think Canon's software is legacy and behind. The Z50II also has bird AF so if this person ge

Camera suggestion under 1 lakh
Sony A6700 or zev10ii Canon r10/r50 Nikon z50ii As a professional in my opinion, if you have no experience you should go for a second hand fullframe camera. Cause you get all the features you want for the near future with out any compromises. You are set for atleast 3-5yrs. After a point you will on

Should I get this as a beginner?
Nop, a bunch of e-waste. For 500$ you can get 70D and a tamron sp 35mm 1.8, this will enable good results and lots of learning potential right away. Also take a look at nikon d5200, plus the same lens. Canon aps-c DSLRs have times better UI/UX than nikons, but nikon ones have better sensors starting

Is Nikon Z50 II better than Canon R50 bundle for a beginner?
Z50ii is on the same level as a Canon R10 or R7. The R50 is a cut down R10. I own an R10 but favor Nikon for full frame. I got the R10 because it was cheap (at the time, no longer) and small, but has poor battery life. The image quality of the R10 is ho-hum. I bought the 10-18mm lens and it's underw

Macro insects, speedlite recommendation?
The problem with the R50 is that it will natively only work with the overpriced Canon EL-x flashes. To work with third-party or earlier Canon flashes you need the AD-E1 adapter, which is usually out of stock everywhere. This said you can do macro without flashes, natural light has its merits (much p

Which is best?
Canon R10. R50 is very limiting and I found it to feel like a toy. Avoid the R100 like a plague. If you want to learn photography professionally then I can’t recommend the R50 or R100. The R7 is great, but I don’t think you want to spend that much on a body yet. After all, you still have lenses to p

What about e-infinity?
So I'm interested in buying a new camera (canon eos r50) and I'm located in Cyprus, Europe. While searching I came across the e-infinity website. At first I searched up the camera and came across a weird pricing. The picture below is a view of my screen. You can clearly see that the price of the cam

Official Question Thread! Ask /r/photography anything you want to know! May 15, 2026
Isn't the R50 over budget? Unless my currency converter is lying to me. Anyway, at any budget the lens(es) is more important than the camera and it won't help to have 40 megapixels if you get a crummy plastic kit lens that can't resolve a quarter of that. Which both Canon and Olympus are famous for.
