The timing function definitely isn't reliable. I never got it to reliably grind within +/- 1 gram of my target dose and it was often off by 2 grams. I suspect it grinds for a set duration but the beans don't feed into the burrs consistently. I never timed it though. I can't really judge the quality

Hi, I got my S3 ESP and the build quality is top notch. The only problem I'm having is that if I set it too fine under 3 Casabrews 5418 pro espresso machine chokes, do you think this to be expected with a budget machine like this?

We have the Casabrews 5418 and have been using it for multiple cups daily for over a year and a half. My only complaint is that Doing consecutive cups with steam frothing requires some cool down. If friends are over, it has to take a rest every couple cups if steaming is involved.
