Hey, new cosplayer here too. Everyone's budget is different but if you are thinking of cosplay, a 3d printer is a must. Don't go ultra cheap and consider the size before buying. These days I would recommend: Bambu P2S (or P1S if initial budget is a concern) I don't like Bambulab as a company, but th

I love my Mandalorian armors and different helmets. Between all the armor I've printed for myself and friends, plus all the stuff I've printed that were incorrectly sized but went towards someone else's build, I'm betting I've printed close to 10 full sets of armor. I love it. I started 3D modeling

The shipping would be about $500...I do a lot of imports, so customs is easy enough, and our tariffs on 3D printers should be VAT (which I can claim back later) + 0% duties. Ends up about the same cost as an Ender 5 Max that I can get locally. I kinda really want that extra 20X20mm though. I need a

I’m pretty pleased with my Ender 5 Max. Was relatively easy to root and put full klipper on it, and it was stupidly cheap on Temu. It’s been a much better experience than my Kobra 2 Max, but it did still need some tinkering. But then, I’ve never met a 3D printer that didn’t need some tinkering, apar

I feel you. I used mine for five prints, then filament got stuck, i broke my hotend and now im 3 weeks waiting for new hotend which might end the same as you. While waiting i bought Ender-3 V3 KE and it just works flawlessly. If you are new to 3D printing, i would suggest getting a printer that has

Sovol SV08 Max or Creality Ender 5 Max? Both printers have their quirks. Ask people in the respective subreddits for more info. Personally, I think the Sovol SV08 Max might the better option. I've read about the E5 Max print beds being faulty (burnt). I don't know they've properly dealt with that. S

I wouldnt as i had to do loads of modifications for it to be functional ... put 3d printer springs on the heatbed to get corners level i had to add a glass bed because its so warped with stock so your prints end up the shape of the bed, when the chamber temps are over 65 degrees for around an hour t

creality sucks in general tbh, i had 6 new printers come in at work (3 k2, and 3 ender 5 max) i have problems with 2 out the box and two others had major issues like 1-2 weeks in of having them. ive had shittier 3d printers that have given me less problems than creality printers

Your welcome bro, i probably wont do this mod tho i can see it as its 100% easier to bed level but this printer being able to manually adjust the bed via the display is too good. I have basically tuned this printer to print soo reliable i dont really worry about bed leveling as much. And i sort of g

I've also given up on my Ender-5 MAX ... it is a horrid attempt at a 3D printer. Way too many problems for the expense. Bed warping as it heats, lousy Z axis quality, inconsistent extrusion, the list too long for Reddit. It's impossible to solve thermals at anything but a 45C bed temp, so PLA is the
