What app/device do you use to track yourself on a marathon/long race? Strava was not accurate on my last race.

Strava is an app, not a device. Your phone determines your gps accuracy to the largest extent. Some phones really suck. If you're going to run on the road, get a dedicated device like a garmin, suunto, polar or coros watch. Running in cities with gps sucks. Tall buildings = dodgy signal. Better off ...

How to avoid watch death

If you plan on doing more ultras, get a better watch. Get a coros watch or a used Garmin with better battery life if you can’t swing a new one. Forerunners, fenix or enduro all have feature that will help you a ton like pace pro.

Customer service

If you hang around the sub for a bit, you will see there is a coros rep or something here often. They seem very helpful with answering questions. Customer service seems great. I have a pace 3 and I love it, as well.

not snarking on paces or her fitness but i find it a bit odd how RIR pauses her watch during track workouts so as not to count the rest portions? like those are part of the workout too… and as a coros user im pretty sure the watch doesn’t “register” the pauses for its race predictions or training ef...

No stamina improvement over the course of 8 months

Hey bud, running is a very humbling sport, and without context I would assume you’re running too hard for the 2 minutes that you’re running. Slow it down and get your body used to moving for 3 minutes, then 4, then 5… even if it might feel ridiculous to go slow, but I promise thats the only way. Als...

Pace 3 as an everyday device

False. Properly configure your reactions notifications in WhatsApp (or similar), and in Android's (or similar) app permissions and the watch will notify you. Vibration intensity is sufficient for me. I have yet so see any review of the Pace 3 praising its screen. This is what MIP screens look like, ...

Is Coros Falling Behind?

I just went straight to Coros so I can't compare it to anything else. I love the app. From what I hear Garmin is bloated and I would hate that. However, it does feel like they have 1 or 2 developers. I keep coming across things that just seem a little half baked that would be very easy fixes or addi...

Plugs for Pace 3

After loosing 3 of them, I run without any protection on my Coros Pace 2 since 3 years, no issue, still charging! I use my watch for walking, running, trail running, surfing. So this protection is useless 😀

Choosing Coros over Garmin

This is probably going to get downvoted to hell but, don’t let this whole connect plus thing completely steer you away from Garmin if you like the hardware that Garmin offers. I spent 3 months going back and forth between the Pace Pro and Forerunner 265. In the end I chose the 265, and that was yest...

Bought a Garmin FR 570, hated it, swapped it out for this bad boy!

Few things- didn’t like the app or the UI, felt outdated. Didn’t like that it was a $550 watch and had breadcrumb maps and the only option to get colored maps are their $800 premium watches. Didn’t like that I have to wear it 24/7 for it to work properly, I already have a whoop and really just wante...
