Renter-friendly fix for light + street noise through old bay windows?
An air purifier makes for a great white noise machine and takes care of the particulates that come in through the window too. Great for smoke season, which looks like it will be a doozy this year. How many have air purifiers running nonstop?
I have coway brand because there was a good Black Friday sale a few years ago and they were well reviewed. It works great and is probably overkill for my needs honestly, but I was thankful to have it during the wildfires a couple years ago.

Definitely try a better air purifier. Look at levoit, puroair, coway, or other highly rated brands. You’re probably looking at ~$150-300 for a solid whole-apartment air purifier.

Anyone ever received a complaint about smoke?
Same with an appropriately sized HEPA filter/carbon filter air purifier for the room you're smoking in I smoke in my house 95% of the time and you'd never know unless you smelled my exhale Coway AP-1512HH Mighty Airmega never let me down.
