K1 max print quality
I have a K1max. Mine is rooted so I can run input shaper. It helped with ghosting and was free. I have the original unicorn hot end. I am running the Creality Obxidian nozzle. I also noticed a reduction in ghosting when I add the DXC extruder.

honest experiences k1max
Im a bad example - ive been 3D printing since reprap (2005/2006)I have 3 k1max - had a K1 since its pre-launch, and a MAX's since they launchedive not had a single issue i havent been able to resolvethey are push print and walk away reliable for meive only recently started playing with the color sys

3D printer for inserts
Bought a creality k1 max for the same reason. Has worked great, made/printed inserts for 4-5 games so far with no major issues other than a clog.

Prints fail
I print entirely in high speed petg pushing 450mm/s on k1 max so just providing my input on that basis. I know your using PLA so some aspects can be different but first and foremost what filament brand are you using? Getting the proper print temperature with respect to speed is very important. PLA a
