New K2 or not?
Depends on the model you are looking at for both, the unicorn hot end is standard in the k2, linear rails, (possibly lidar for automatic pressure advance), Ai camera, integrated support for the CMS systems, some other improvements. I have the standard K1 (2023 release) as well as the k2 plus so I ca

Bambu Lab Sent a Cease-and-Desist. The AGPL Might Send One Back.
Fwiw after 4 printers I ended up with a creality k1 . Been using it round the clock for the last year. Occasionally jams. Otherwise love it compared to the other machines I’ve owned.

Starting Another Little Monster Build
The linear rail upgrade on the KE has a few benefits, as mentioned is a bit lighter, they don't loosen up, and are a little more stable. Downfall is if the bed frame is printed from PETG, long-term 65°C prints will cause the bed to sag and requires constant leveling. Best if printed from PC-CF or AB

Testing K1 in 2026
picked up a Creality K1 last July, it has been a really Joy. Only one big problem, I had to replace the Hot end & the extruder motor,. easy to replace. Since I had a Later model K! it had a lot of the upgrades already present. If I was to buy one now I would get the K1C which has the camera.

My detailed K1C + CFS-C review

Why do some people say the KE is problematic?
No need to go with printer branded filament, there are cheaper alternatives most of the times, and in some cases even better quality for less. The price of bambu vs creality shouldn’t be an argument in regards to what printer you go with. A roll of plastic is a roll of plastic in the end no matter w

Thinking of Switching from Creality to Bambu Labs – Worth It?
I have two Creality K1C, one Creality K2 Plus, One Bambu Lab A1 and the most recent Bambu Lab H2D laser edition. Well, I’ve started with the K1C, which is a nearly perfect printer. Didn’t have any kind of problems and I’ve enjoyed my beginning with the 3D printing world. Then I’ve decided to buy the

Troubles with extrusion
The original K1 max would not work. I upgraded to the 2025 versions on the PCB board and hot end. Works great now. I think there's something different about the pcb board other than the connectors for the hot end. Creality 2025 K1 Max/K1/K1 SE/K1C Hotend Upgrade Ceramic Heating Block, Official New V
