Blob of death

Microswiss flowtech. Even if you don't use the microswiss nozzles, the hotend itself is a decent upgrade and has far less issues and much easier to clean off, if you get the blob of death again. https://store.micro-swiss.com/collections/micro-swiss-flowtech/products/micro-swiss-flowtech-hotend-for-c

First Printer

Additive manufacturing a.k.a 3D printing has expanded tremendously over the last decade and become much more commercially accessible. Just the categories of 3D printing (FDM, SLS, PBF, SLA, etc) can be overwhelming. It's your first I would stick to FDM. Since your use case is potentially replacing f

Bambu Lab Sent a Cease-and-Desist. The AGPL Might Send One Back.

Fwiw after 4 printers I ended up with a creality k1 . Been using it round the clock for the last year. Occasionally jams. Otherwise love it compared to the other machines I’ve owned.

Starting Another Little Monster Build

The linear rail upgrade on the KE has a few benefits, as mentioned is a bit lighter, they don't loosen up, and are a little more stable. Downfall is if the bed frame is printed from PETG, long-term 65°C prints will cause the bed to sag and requires constant leveling. Best if printed from PC-CF or AB

Testing K1 in 2026

picked up a Creality K1 last July, it has been a really Joy. Only one big problem, I had to replace the Hot end & the extruder motor,. easy to replace. Since I had a Later model K! it had a lot of the upgrades already present. If I was to buy one now I would get the K1C which has the camera.

Which one should i get?

I just entered the home 3D printer world. I got the Creality K1C, and so far no problems. I have just been printing PLA-CF for my kid’s FTC robotics projects. I went through a couple of rolls of filament and no print issues so far. I haven’t bothered to do any calibration, and dimensions are good en

Which one should i get?

I have a Creality K1C a year now, no experience in 3d printing. I started printing after installing the printer in 15min!... I have not stopped :) since then with no proplems (except some 'bad' models).I print all types of PLA and PETG.

What's happening between Fauxhammer and Creality??

my K1C has 2000 hours and 0 issues. Every unit is different and every company has duds. Go over to the bamboo subreddit and you’ll see even they get duds😂 I will agree with you that creality lacks on customer support but virtually every single chinese 3d printer company sucks with support. I point a

I Can't Tell if this Printer is All Hype!

Like most things on the internet, people defend their preferred brand. I recently got a 3D printer for my daughter’s robotics project. I got a Creality K1C and had zero failed prints. Many people will tell you that these will fail. But the printer had been out for awhile, so I trusted that a lot of

Which 3D printer brands/models does your company use and why?

we mostly run stuff like the Creality K1C 3D Printer and a few larger K1/K2 series machines. main reason is they’re pretty reliable once dialed in, and they handle tougher materials well, which matters more for functional parts than just looks. also nice that they’re more open to tweaking compared t
