The linear rail upgrade on the KE has a few benefits, as mentioned is a bit lighter, they don't loosen up, and are a little more stable. picked up a Creality K1 last July, it has been a really Joy. Only one big problem, I had to replace the Hot end & the extruder motor,. easy to replace. Since I had a Later model K! it had a lot of the upgrades already present. If I was to buy one now I would get the K1C which has the camera.
