Micron and Crucial leaving consumer market
I used to swear by the Crucial MX500 sata ssds but honestly haven't bought anything from the brand in years.

Best SSDs for PS3?
Being doing a lot of research for this. Apparently the best ones are Samsung 870 EVO and WD BlueSA510 and Crucial BX500. A lot of stuff regarding D-Ram for random writing/reading. I'll go for Samsung, it's the most expensive one but it's also the one that has less negative comments (dying all the su

I did a ton of research before getting one. after reading so many people's experiences.. some people cheaped out and got whatever they can find on aliexpress and later posted it failed after a few months.. i didn't want that to happen to me so I looked up what people had that didn't fail on them and

Would an SSD fix eufy homebase 3 slow and buggy playback times?
I have a SSD in my HB3. Playback is not slow and buggy. The user interface might not be great, but it isn't buggy. And, of course, you don't improve the UI by changing to SSD. It is an old 2TB Crucial MX500. Works fine. I tried with a 4TB BX500. Couldn't get it to work. Not sure if it is the size or

Tracking down why drive keeps disappearing if I upgrade Linux kernel version from 5.15...
Thank you, fed my original request into chatgpt and it offered suggestions of what to compare side by side along with thought of "You’re not imagining it—this kind of regression between the 5.15 and 6.x kernels usually comes down to how the SATA controller (or its bridge) is being handled, not the S

Lenovo IdeaPad 3 – Screen goes black at login, then “repairing disk errors” + glitchy screen
The glitchy screen could be due to a faulty GPU or a bad screen or screen ribbon cable. Try connecting it to an external display through HDMI to determine what is the issue. The disk errors could just be because of an improper shutdown or could indicate an issue with the SSD. To determine if it's a

For people on a strict budget — what brand consistently gives you the most for your money?
For me, a handful of brands keep paying off. Anker PowerCore 20100 from Amazon for power banks (still going strong after 3 years), TP-Link Archer A7 from Amazon/Walmart for routers (cheap and stable), Crucial MX500 1TB SSD from Newegg for storage (zero issues), and Soundcore Life P2 earbuds I grabbe

Buying SSD worth it in 2026?
The Crucial BX500 is a reliable SATA SSD, I use one as a game drive, shouldn't be too bad on price

Best SSD for a PS3 Slim in 2026?
IMO 250GB have non sens, 512GB is much better choice. On most cheap SSDs speed drops at 80% capacity (sometimes less) so is good to leave some extra free space. My Slim has 1TB Crucial MX500 but purchased in normal times. Originally it was Hitahi 320GB and it was too small for me.

I know nothing
i think the crucial mx500 is a good choice but keep in mind its a sata ssd, so it will be a bit slower than NVMe ones but definiately usable for programming and other general usage. Also you mention you know nothing so are you sure you can open the laptop up and install the SSD? if not don't risk it
