Need a second opinion on my pc part picker list!
For the games you’re playing your setup is overkill. You can get BO2 Zombies on steam. A 9800X3D is amazing but for the games you’re playing you wouldn’t need it. A 7800X3D will do just as well for less. If you’re adamant on the current cpu I’d prob recommend a 6000 CL30 DDR5 ram. It runs better w t

ACASIS TB501 Pro killed my T705 (4TB) — insanely fast, but I wouldn’t trust it
TRIM just tells the SSD which blocks are no longer in use so it can clean them up internally. It mainly helps with maintaining write performance over time and reducing write amplification. What I’m seeing doesn’t really match a TRIM-related issue. This wasn’t gradual slowdown or degraded writes. The

Building new PC with 8yo daughter. Asking for help/advice.
- 2TB NVME for boot & Apps (does GEN 3 vs 4 vs 5 matter in my context? Brand impact?) Brand, not so much but model yes. Speed, to a point but not really. I'd just try to get a decent tlc model. Market is super volatile right now and still spiking so this gen 5 is actually a reasonable 'budget' option

2280 MSI Claw 8 AI+ Mod
For those worried about heat from the heatpipes, MSI coated these heat pipes in a black ceramic coating which keeps the heat in the pipes, minimising heat radiation in this area... So its not an issue placing an SSD over the heat pipes. I've run this mod for over 5months now. one of the first to do

Linux 6.17 File-System Benchmarks, Including OpenZFS & Bcachefs
A quick look, he seems to run "NONE" settings for OpenZFS - what does that mean? What ashift did he select and is the NVMe reconfigured for 4k LBA (since they out of factory often are delivered with 512b)? This alone can be a somewhat large diff when doing benchmarks. Because looking at bcachefs set

ssd compatibility
You can use any M.2 NVME SSD pretty much. If you want something really fast there’s the Crucial T705.

MSI Claw 8 AI+ 2280 SSD adaptor!
I use max wattage. Never had an issue. The Crucial T705 never gets over 65 degrees during gameplay (checked with HWinfo) so there is absolutely zero issues. FYI, MSI coats the APU heat pipes with a ceramic black coating, so the heat stays in the pipes, and that is advantageous for the SSD overing ov

first pc build - feedback pls
I would suggest using pcpartpicker.com (specifically their German version - de.pcpartpicker.com) as it is a much more widely used site and generally pulls information from more retailers. Many of the parts in your list are very expensive for no performance benefit (mainly purely aesthetics). You are

Wait for 9850x3D or buy 9800x3D/9950x3D now? First time building gaming PC
Sure thing. I have one gen5 SSD (crucial T705) and one Western digital gen4 SSD. 4GB each. A few games load maybe a second faster at best on the gen5 vs. the gen4 drive. Nothing earth shattering. The reason being that the games still only use 8 cores at most when loading levels, so even though the G

2.2 lakh quotation
Since you are going with the X870 motherboard you can go with Gen 5 ssd, because the price of gen 4 and gen 5 is now really close, back in September 2025 the gen 4 ssd with 7000 MB/s speed was around ₹7,000 but gen 5 with 14,000 MB/s speed was more than 15K that means double speed for double the pri
