Yet another hardware size question
A N100 is overkill unless you're using upside features. That said they can be very power efficient, mine idles at either 9 or 22 watts, can't remember but it's low. I don't think N100/N150/N250 will make any difference, get whatever is most reliable/power saving in your budget. Mine is a CWWK and it

Box for OPNSense use. I'm a doubter.
I went with CWWK Mini PC N100 Firewall Hardware 2 x 10GbE SFP+, 2 x i226V 2.5GbE LAN. I had to add my own SSD and RAM, but both of which I had lying around anyway, so it was put to use. I have a 2 gig fiber connection, and it never bottlenecks it. Not doing a whole lot with it, just some VPN and dyn

Newbie getting into Home NAS/Server
In the ITX N100 world, CWWK is the main player. I have a few systems using the CW-NAD-ADLN-K which was a really popular board but I think has been replaced by the NAS-N150-6P. I wrote a post on STH about squeezing the most out of the board and how to upgrade the BIOS and various firmwares.

N150 vs i7-6700k
To quote Hamlet "“There are more things in Heaven and Earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy.” Ok, so I will take your question of "OMG, why?" in good faith and assume you don't mean it to be rhetorical. Why on earth would you spend $200+ on a quad NVME adapter, The card was $100US an

How do we feel about a N100 for a NAS?
The N100 is a great platform. I've had a few variants and I am a fan of the CWWK CW-NAS-ADLN-K. I think the sacrifice of 2 NICs in preference for a real x4 PCIe slot is a good call. Also being this is a Gen2 board, it moved from a JMB585 to ASM1166 SATA controller with helps dramatically with power

Need help finding the right motherboard / handling SFP+
You could use the newer CWWK board. It has a PCIe 3.0 x4 slot. Then add a SFP+ NIC.

Flint 4 Official Specs
It's really only incremental with this new SoC ~850Mbps to ~1Gbps. The reason is WG can only use a single core per tunnel instance. So if you want WG on multi-gig speeds on a single tunnel you're going to want to go x86 running OpenWrt or OpnSense. The lowly n100 will get you 4.5Gbps + per core, thi
