Multi-display Mac Studio M3 Ultra for FCP 11, AE, FPL research & gaming
I recently upgraded to a Mac Studio M3 Ultra (binned) / 2 TB, and here’s the multi-display setup that has been working really well for editing and research:
Displays • ASUS ProArt OLED PA32UCDM — 32", 4K 240 Hz. Main grading/playback display. • 2× Dell S2725QS — 27", vertical 120 Hz. Timelines, sco

What is the cheapest monitor for a pro
The Dell S2725QS is 4K 120Hz and decent reviews, probably the best cheapest option

From iMac 27 to MacMini
I did the exact same transition after 25 years, 3 iMacs. Have pretty much the same use case. Spent so much time debating what monitor to get and how big a step back it would be. Got the M4, 24 GB, 512 GB, got two 27” Dell S2725QS’s, used better display and it has been absolutely fantastic.no regrets

First time posting on here. This is my desk setup, what do you guys think? Do I need anything else? Thanks ☺️
Thank you ☺️ I genuinely love this monitor, it’s very good for the price. So it is this one on Amazon “Dell 27 Plus Monitor - S2725QS, 4K UHD (3840x2160), 120Hz, IPS, 4ms, AMD FreeSync Premium, 99% sRGB, Height Adjust, Built-in Speakers, DisplayPort, 2 HDMI, 3 Year Warranty”

Monitor for mac
In terms of text and icon quality, I'd describe 1440p as like a 5/10 and 4K as an 8/10 when you use the 1440p scale. Your reason to get 1440p here would be the much higher refresh rate. However, you can find 120Hz 4K monitors for pretty cheap, like the Dell S2725QS, if you live in the US. I'd person

Can you recommend a monitor?
I'd recommend stretching the budget a little more and getting the Dell S2725QS for $276 It's one of the best value 4k monitors out there and will look a lot better with Mac OS than a 1080p or 1440p monitor. I used a 1080p monitor with my Mac mini for over a year and while it's usable, there is a lot

Experiences with M1 Mac mini and Dell Thunderbolt 3 Dock TB16
To anyone reading this in 2025... I picked up a TB16 for $10 at a swap meet. I borrowed a PC laptop from work and followed the TLDR suggested steps here: https://github.com/flhofer/dell_TB16_firmware On my 2023 Macbook Pro M3 Max 14", Sequoia 15.5 Working: 2 4K60 displays (S2725QS) from the DP->HDMI a

Which 27" 4K monitor would you recommend for photo editing (with future printing in mind)?
For a good budget option, I have a Dell S2725QS that I love. Stupid sharp, great colors when calibrated with my spider x, and still fast enough to reasonably game on. Soft proofing in LR has yielded fantastic results from my Canon imageprograf pro-310. There is also a usb c version for a little more

Monitor recommendations for M3 Macbook Pro?
I just bought this one, its great for office work and not spending lots of money. At 3 foot distance I don't notice difference in resolution between my macbook display. I recommend better display to unlock HiDPi resolution (retina basically). So you get sharp images but larger fonts. I run it at 169
