Ducky admits my Outlaw 65 cable is too short, but wants me to RMA a $250 kit for a 5-cent wire
They used to be more or less a standard for keyboard. Built like tanks and lasted forever. But my ducky one 3 has weird issues that my Shine 3 never had. They have really fallen off.

Is it worth it to spend 200-300 USD for Premium keyboard like those Keychron, mechanical keyboard for coding?
An expensive keyboard feels good. Like every piece of hardware, there are diminishing returns for high end products. I wouldn't use a cheap $10 keyboard, If I have to type all day. Yet any dollar past $100 is probably a luxury, there are good keyboards for less. That said, people enjoy nice looking

Advice
I always says check out Ducky One 3 because they are around your price range, but you can go to r/mechmarket to find some cheaper keebs people are trying to unload. The Bakeneko are really nice, and you can get one for around a hundred dollars (sometimes a lot less), but they are 60%. 75% is the key

Top 3 switches and why
I am not deep into this hobby but I do essentially live on my keyboard. Programmer + gamer. Only tried Cherry Blue Cherry Brown Cherry Silver Topre (HHKB) and my favorite (by far) is Silver... perfect "activation function" (smooth start to finish), great feedback, nice subtle sound that's pleasant a

Looking for a bulky retro-inspired keyboard
In addition to all the great suggestions here, also check Ducky One 3 Matcha edition. Beautiful board, but looks so out of place on a modern desk setup. Img: https://ducky.global/cdn/shop/files/ducky_asset_ONE3_product-2.jpg?v=1740553066&width=1500

How QUIET is the Keyboard?
I’ve got the ducky one 3 with cherry mx silent reds, and while it is definitely quieter than some other switches/keyboards (and oh-so-lovely), I’d for sure recommend you look into your recording setup (mic, software, eq, etc) and studio environment if cutting sound is important to you. Cause the duc

60% Compact Keyboard with MacMini
I'm using a Ducky One 2 Mini from 2020! Switched from my 1st gen Magic Keyboard (which still works fine btw) just because I wanted to try mechanical keyboards and honestly the typing experience is so much more satisfying. Here's both of them if you're curious. If my Ducky ever kicks the bucket, I'll
