No one warned me about the slippery slope
Been using the Edfier R1280T for quite a while and desperately needed an upgrade. I read a few good things about KEF and decided to try the Q150s. I also ordered the LS50 meta to get an idea of what “real” speakers sound like.
Well, unfortunately a subwoofer won’t work in my townhome and would very

Kefs are power hungry and amps make the difference.
Ok, this is interesting. I have recently picked up the Q1 metas and after listening for a few days, I am not sold on the excellent clarity and soundstaging, the jump from my edifier r1280's was not necessarily quantum. This is especially apparent in the transients, such as some hifi drum tracks I us

Gold for audio tech education
I'm buying a pair of powered speakers. They are on route. MouKey ma20-1. I have read conflicting reports and already kind of regret not getting the edifier r1280t at the same price point but time will tell.
Anyway I have a lead on a second hand schiit modi dac. I know nothing technical about audio.

Therefore you might not be able to EQ your speakers solely based on Amir’s units. (Maybe you would need to get UMIK-1 and use REW etc..) On that forum Maiky76

Recommendations for record player and TV
Hi everyone! Hope you’re doing well.
I need a bit of help, and I was wondering if anyone here could give me a hand. I just moved into a new apartment (yay!) and would like to have a new speaker for it. Originally, I was supposed to use a Sonos Play 5 (?), but I had difficulty hooking it up to the

r/audiophile Shopping, Setup, and Technical Help Desk Thread
Are single speakers recommended for turntables? I have a pretty basic setup. AT-160 paired with Edifier R1280 speakers. My problem is that the speakers are kinda bulky. Ideally I would just have 1 sleek looking speaker. What I’m trying to figure out is if that’s not recommended for some reason? Some
