Portal won’t work

They essentially extend your signal and make it stable. Look up eero on amazon. I got the 6+ and they are amazing. And since it’s Amazon if it doesn’t fix the problem just return them.

What Wi-fi 6 Router for home is the best value you've used?

I’ve had no issues with my eero 6+ units. They are wired backhaul. All HomeKit and matter devices work flawlessly. Even the ones that are at the edge of the WiFi bubble.

Cox fiber install, should I buy a new router?

There are a lot of other variables here- how big is your house? multiple stories? old brick construction? do you have a lot of smart home devices, or need lots of connection bandwidth b/c you work from home? I've been happy with my Deco XE75 Pro mesh system, but it isn't super customizable. Eero 6+

Please recommend modem for when FTTP arrives soon

I run 2x Eero and I love it. Super simple to set up too. Consistent 500-550Mbps upstairs and downstairs, if you are at the very end of the house (through a brick wall) it drops to about ~250-300Mbps. Edit- both are wired, and I have the 6+ version.

Outdoor Wifi?

I've half an acre, and my Eero 6+ mesh hits outside pretty well. I've one on each side of the house. Very occasionally it may hit the tiniest extreme blackspot, but I'd say 99% of the garden is covered.

Should I purchase the Verizon Fios Wifi Extender or try another option?

Very happy with Eero 6. Nodes are wired backhauled though. 300/300 service and 300/300 speeds all around the house..

Better home wifi

I would use the Amazon Eero mesh wi-fi system. It is designed for someone who’s not an expert. The set of three Access Points (APs) should do it for your house. You plug one into your existing Cox internet router. It auto-negotiates the connection. The other APs are placed around the house. The APs

Sengled Down, What To do Next

Every Alexa and Eero device with Zigbee hubs has a full list of devices. The 4th Gen Echo goes for like $35-$40 on eBay, new/sealed. Probably the cheapest device, and also compatible with Matter, and Thread devices. I have nearly 50 [Zigbee] bulbs, so well worth the cost of a replacement hub. I'm us

Router mesh and smart switches

I've had good success with 4-node Eero and HomeKit together, although I have a large flat house. As I understand the description of your soon to be home, it's about an 20 foot square, with three floors, which is really not a lot of area? (Sounds delightful, except for the stairs.) However, a lot of

Switching to fios from xfinity

Yeah I pay $60/mo for the first year promo then jumps to $120 year 2. With fios I will pay the $89.99/mo for 5 years. Was wondering how good the range is on the Verizon router, good to know I can still use my eero 6+ setup instead.
