Upgrading from Telstra- what hardware do I need?
You can actually use your existing setup for the iiNet service. You may have to change a few things in your Telstra Smart Gateway setting (I'm sure someone can fill the gap here). When I switched over to ABB from Telstra a couple years back, I also used a Telstra Gateway which worked just fine. Just

WiFi 7 (Eero) router, Portal and PS5 all in frame … still can’t get stable
Update: pulled out an older WiFi 6 Asus router, and moved PS5 and Portal to it, and it runs flawlessly. Eero just sucks at making routers. No way to fix or improve it because it’s completely locked in. Gonna just buy a real router (the Eero came free w/ Service, never had them, didn’t realize they’d

Why is the PS Portal such a frustrating device?
I have the eero 6 pro and I can’t get above 1.5mb/s 10 feet from my router it’s SO frustrating. My ps5 is hardwired to my 1000mb/s internet. Constantly dropping to under 720p streaming and it’s unplayable.

Eero 6+ wi fi speed
I did the exact same thing with a dedicated access point only to realize my phone and laptop were the ones refusing to play nice with the higher bandwidth. If you can still return the Eero, definitely put that money toward the electrician. Nothing beats a hardwired drop, especially for gaming or lar

Son is frustrated, I am no help, please help.
OP... We need to know the plan you're on..A link to it would be great. What technology is delivering the plan, Fibre? HFC? DSL? Fixed wireless? Also need to know what actual issues are being seen. "Too slow" on it's own doesn't say much. A speed test would be good too, best done from a wired machine

Mad god overhaul 5080 worth it?
I do, I have an eero 6 setup for my home. I directly plugged in my PC to one of the routers but the experience wasn't that much better. I read that apparently a dedicated router is best, if that doesn't work I can just return it

New Account, console downloads abismal
I've been on the 1gb 2 mo free trial for a month now, with the eero 7 pro. Connected to coax via moca 2.5. Im not a techie, but this is what I've learned. The eero app speed is from the eero to the isp. Since that good, the issue is from ?? to eero. Connect something via cat 6 to the eero. I used my

How does the WiFi coverage of GL.iNet Flint 3 compare to YouFibre Hub?
Can't comment on how it stacks up against the YF Hub, and it might have been early adopter issues in my case but I (and about half of the other Flint 3 owners I saw at the time) had very poor WiFi performance. I ended up returning mine as I couldn't be sure it could be fixed with updates. It was sig

I have a hard wired eero 6+ - with 1 GB service I never get more than 521 mbps- i just recently upgraded - perhaps I need to swap out their older modem in order to get the paid 1 GB service?
