ELAC Debut ConneX DCB41 for desktop speakers
It is nicer to be able to listen to the choices yourself if at all possible. Bluetooth is compressed and in general lossy and to be avoided if you have Airplay 2 or wi-fi (uPnP, DLNA, Chromecast). HDMI for Tv or computer - most computers support more than one HDMI or DP output.USB for easy control f

Desktop Setup - Gaming / Movies / Work
Hi there. Both Argon Audio and Ruark Audio make good value speakers, so those two are safe choices in my opinion. I can think of a couple more options which you might like, in both looks and sound: Cambridge Audio L/R S - black or walnut ELAC Debut ConneX DCB41 - black ash or walnut Tannoy Gold Seri

Who needs Spotify anyway?
I've got ELAC connex dcb41 as they are perfect size for the space I have, they are quite good to be honest, the x bass setting also helps - i had some edifier ones before but these are better. They are good value though certainly, i wanted maybe some Rokits but they are too big for my desk...

Active vs Passive for 'budget' level speakers for music
There is a point to powered speakers in around your price point at £500. It gives good value for your money (vs passive systems). But you would have slightly easier time upgrading those passive systems, since you wouldn’t need to change everything. These two could be the powered options to consider:

Ah yes I also bought edifiers as my first set of desktop speakers, but then I switched to Elac DCB41, both are good.

Speaker suggestion needed for difficult room

Office setup recommendations
The elac debut connex dcb41 are worth a listen. You could pick them up off Amazon and return if you hate them. I listened to them at capital audio fest last year and was thoroughly impressed. I only ended up with the LSX II since I got a really good deal, but would have had no hesitation buying the

Active speakers for desktop computer, laptop and TV? Help me choose.
Bluetooth speakers add latency to YouTube, movies and TV. Seems to work with headphones on some TV but even there connecting to Bluetooth speakers is not. Wi-fi is better than Bluetooth, particularly uPnP, DNLA and Chromecast. Apple users like Airplay as it as simple as Bluetooth but far better. USB

Living room system required - advice please
Why don't you consider powered speakers like the Elac Debut Connex 41. It has HDMI Arc to hook up to your TV. And buy a Wiim mini, and connect via optical cable to get a streamer setup. https://elac.com/dcb41 https://wiimhome.com/wiimmini/overview
