Elegoo Jupiter 2

It's definitely a disappointment. I intended on replacing my Jupiter SE with the 2 but not anymore. I am sick and tired of these manufacturers focusing on all the wrong things. I don't need intelligent lift, I don't need auto-leveling, I don't need an auto-feed, I don't need a fancy UI, I don't need

Jupiter 2 gets released in 7 days… what your thoughts?

Feels like it is probably rushed because anycubic announced the p1 max and then delayed it to march. Which that felt rushed also because this was announced last year but delayed multiple times. Feel like they both are trying to be first to market with a large printer that actually has a resolution t

Resin printing "arms race" over?

yes and no YES: printer XY resolution has not seen any practical advance in years. 16k on a 10inch screen is just pointless - you can't tell the difference between that and 8k with antialiasing. NO: Main point that I agree with from other replies is that the real disrupter we're waiting for is a bet

Seriously elegoo, you released untested hot garbage with the jupiter 2

Don't use the resin pump AT ALL. It's poorly designed and needs additional zip ties on the barb fittings to avoid leaks (Yes, additional zip ties on top of the ones Elegoo already shoehorned in as an early "fix") You can tighten the screw under the build plate locking lever to fix the loose connecti

Get Saturn ultra 16k or wait for Jupiter 2

I would recommend downloading elegoo satellite slicer Loading up some of your models and seeing if everything will fit in the Saturn 16k or if you really need the Jupiter. The Jupiter can print huge things or lots of things but the one downside is dealing with a huge vat for of resin. Swapping resin

Wait for Jupiter 2 or gk3 ultra?

I researched this quite a bit as I was also looking to upgrade my Jupiter SE that I sold. I don't think any of the larger options are good other than the Mega 8ks, but that one was a little too big for my liking. Plus the replacement screen being ridiculously expensive, I just didn't want to risk it

Best beginner 3D printer as a gift?

For miniatures specifically, resin(liquid) printing is the best. Elegoo Mars 5 Ultra is perfect machine for this with 50 micron layer height which FDM hasn't been able to reach (yet). For resins, Formlabs has some really good resins for minis. When it comes to terrain the Elegoo Jupiter 2 resin prin

This is genuinely the worst 3d printer I have ever worked with.

Hello Rub, respectfully disagree on the printer itself. We run 8x OG Jupiters in our print shop (oldest ~4 years old) - they are nothing but awesome workhorses for us. There is a trick with levelling that makes a world of difference - slight pressure on both sides on the silver build plate handle, w
