yes and no YES: printer XY resolution has not seen any practical advance in years. 16k on a 10inch screen is just pointless - you can't tell the difference between that and 8k with antialiasing. NO: Main point that I agree with from other replies is that the real disrupter we're waiting for is a bet

I don't think any of the larger options are good other than the Mega 8ks, but that one was a little too big for my liking. For miniatures specifically, resin(liquid) printing is the best. Elegoo Mars 5 Ultra is perfect machine for this with 50 micron layer height which FDM hasn't been able to reach (yet).
