[NGD] Eureka Helios 65. Home station in the second photo

It depends on usage, we drink around 0.8-1 kg a week (40-50 shots), so for us single dose is just not practical We buy packs of 500g, 3 kilo at a time, freshly roasted, so it’s pretty much fresh all of the time. My sister had a df64, we really didn’t like it, she replaced it with the allground sense

Beginner Friendly Espresso Machine & Grinder [$500-1k]

Get a single dose grinder such as DF54. You'll have to change grind size back and forth since decaf will require a much finer grind, but that's not a huge problem. Do not get a hopper grinder such as Eureka Mignon Specialita. When adjusting grind size on a hopper grinder, you need to run the grinder

Bigger burrs

I just upgraded from a Eureka Mignon Specialita to a timemore 064s and while the burrs aren’t completely seasoned yet, there is a pretty stark difference in taste. I do drink mid to light roasts exclusively

Is the Niche Zero still worth it in 2026?

I’ve been running a NZ for 5.5 years now. I still love it, and can’t see anything else as a worthwhile switch for me. I briefly had a Eureka Mignon Specialita prior, but it didn’t click with me. I strongly and consistently prefer body over clarity in espresso. YMMV. Commandante for pour-overs, prefe

It’s been 36 hours since I had to send my Zuriga to maintenance. I don‘t know if I will survive this.

It’s incredibly reliable and has an excellent consistent output. E.g. compared to a Eureka Mignon Specialita, I would definitely recommend considering the Zuriga grinder (if you have the money). I myself are saving for the GBW upgrade.

Alternatives to Eureka Mignon Specialita grinder [$1000] Oz

Eureka has better more modern grinders. Like take a look at the zero 65Ap and zero. They are about half the price, lack the digital screen, but you get either 55mm or 65mm burrs and a single dose kit. I think the Specialita was like 50mm burrs so you should get much better coffee for a much lower pr

Lower burr carrier flaking metal [Eureka Mignon Specialita]

Intentionally designed ))) what a bs ))) as a long term owner of specialita I can confirm the bad metal casting quality of the entire burr carrier and grinding chamber. Mine also was very rough and with sharp edges. The metal is Selumin or similar cheap aluminum alloy. I was thinking of re design th

Weber Workshops just made it real easy for me to pick what company my next grinder will come from. Company culture comes from the top.

Well didn't he give it light multiple reviews? Some people have nightmares with it, others don't "the key can be great if you aren’t trying to grind light roasts at very low rpm" "With that said the main issue with the design of the Key and the HG1/2, and any other grinder with a similar design, is

Bambino Plus & Gaggia MDF55 VS Breville Barista Pro? [$1000]

Correct me if I'm wrong about df54/64:- They don't have a hopper- you cannot adjust grind time I don't want a single dose grinder, as I'm not going to let my partner go and weigh the grind everytime, I will not be the only one using it, that's why I want a hopper and a grind timer. Gaggia MDF55 is b
