Goodbye Fitbit, Hello Garmin

I had Fitbits for years, until my Charge 6 sorta started to die in the pool/tracking distance on runs etc.

It sorta provided an opportunity to join the Garmin family lol. Today's my rest day but I'm looking forward to putting it thru its paces in my interval training tomorrow! :)

Charge 6 Clock Faces

I bought a Charge 6 today and the clock faces options are absolutely horrendous. There are no simple ones! Overlapping numbers, big graphics, bright colors... They can't be customized and are all colorful and unprofessional. I simply can't believe there isn't a single simple white readable option.

Galaxy Watch Paywall

I stopped buying fitbit for this reason. I wish more people stood up to this. Next thing you know samsung will charge to use the equalizer, or the left ear buds to work with the galaxy pro buds.

Does anyone still love their fitbit?

As someone who has used fitbit for almost a decade and bought the Charge 6 (after my 3, 4 & 5 died), I'm genuinely curious if there are people who still love their fitbit? Honestly the only reason I'm still using it is cause I don't want to lose the years of data on the app.

Looking at this subred...

Trump administration is launching a new private health tracking system with Big Tech's help

I’d be wary of sharing my data and letting big gubment and big tech link my movement data with my health and work data. Great way for current powers in charge to look at someone trying to get insulin for their diabetes and deny them for whatever reason like oh your phone/fitbit says you’re not getti...

Did Google make Fitbit much, much much worse?

Two years ago I had a Fitbit Charge, which I really liked. I then began using an Apple device, but I just got a Charge 6 as a gift.

Okay. [FEEL FREE TO SKIM OR SKIP THIS INCREDIBLY BORING PARAGRAPH] I had to spend roughy 90 minutes last night with three different customer services futilely trying t...

What brands did you used to love but now hate because of enshittification?

Yes! I was an early adopter and had Fitbit One, Fitbit Ultra as body clips and they worked so well. Charge 4 had more features than Charge 6 so when my charge 4's band broke in a way that I couldn't repair or replace it, I switched to Garmin.

Fresh Google Pixel Watch 4 leak suggests it might finally get wireless charging upgrade

I don't really view this as a positive development. I doubt this will be widely Qi compatible as the coil size is just too small. It will likely be loosely based off of Qi like the Galaxy Watch chargers or the OG Pixel watch, but won't have broad compatability with wireless chargers. Additionally, u...

Is Fitbit still worth buying?

I'm very late to the party. But I'm looking at getting a Charge 6. Though there's been so many bad reviews on here and the looming rumors of google phasing out Fitbit altogether, has me wondering if it's too late to invest in a Fitbit product now. Alternatively, I'm also looking at Xiaomi Smart Ban...
