Flashforge AD5X + FAMS: Inherently flawed or just a steep learning curve? (ME Student Perspective)

The FlashForge multi-color module is called IFS. No need to confuse the people inventing new terms. From my opinion, this sub is getting flooded by questions from people not giving a clue how to use a 3D printer, which could really make you thinking that it's full of problems. From my experience, th

how to locate the problem

That squeaking noise is strange, but for the fan whistling, I recommend this: FlashForge Adventurer 5m (AD5M) Hot end retainer with fan duct (silencer) por Raym00n | Descargar modelo STL gratuito | Printables.com

Guide: How to fix the X/Y "clicking" noise that sometimes plagues these machines

There isn't a point in the video I linked where they specifically show the pulleys themselves. It just shows how to disassemble the outer portion of the machine enough so that you can see the pulley shafts easily to lubricate them. Here is a post by u/PremiumMekanik that shows where to look and circ

I want to foray into a 3rd 3D printer. Need advice please.

In my experience FlashForge makes good stuff. They just don't have the clout Bambu has yet, but that may change. I like that they use Orca. I've heard good and bad on support. I upgraded my AD5M for CF prints and it works great. The only regret I has was not getting a pro but I upgraded it myself an

Is this a sign of moist filament?

Absolutely not, it's an artifact which I call "flashforge surface blight" which affects the printing of exterior walls. Nobody has completely explained what causes it, I've tried capturing it on high speed video. If you look at it as it's printed layer by layer, the artifact is caused by the extrude

Alternate mainboards for Flashforge AD5M

I ended up dropping X-Forge onto my printer, having access to Fluidd has been nice. I still have the dreaded MCU shutdown happening, and the G-Code corruption continues to be an issue. Overall while I appreciate the mods, I think I am going to still be looking into replacing the mainboard, or at lea

Should return my flash forge 5m pro and get the elegoo centari carbon?

The FlashForge is louder stock. I ended up replacing all the fans on it. The CC's aux fan is loud as hell (but works REALLY well for additional cooling for PLA), and I am likely to replace some of the fans on it in the near future too, just to quiet it down further, but overall the CC out of the box

First ever major issue with my Adventure 5m. Need help!

For the first month, I was also happy with the AD5M Pro. Then started the MCU freeze-ups. First every other week. Then every other day. Then multiple times a day. I tried everything, including Forge-X, and new replacement fans from Flashforge customer support, but none of it fixed the MCU timeouts.
