It could be what's called "heat creep". My understanding is the 5x and pro should be able to handle this as they have internal temp monitoring for the enclosure. I have a 5m so my fix is just opening the top and door for PLA lol. Definitely recommend looking up rolling firmware back, GitHub is a bet

Adventurer 5m Pro Exact Enclosure
The lid on the 5M Pro is quite low and tight, meaning that the drag chain often drags along it. Since you have the chance to shape the enclosure anyway you like, I would suggest deviating from the exact 5M Pro design, and printing a riser, such as https://www.printables.com/model/1027653-flashforge-
