3D Printed Hardtop
If we’re considering just materials alone then yea I clear the cost of most other aftermarket hardtops by a good sum. I bought a printing setup that can churn out all the plastic I need for this project relatively quick which is three printers but I chalked those up to business expenses as I plan on

I don’t want to ruin Christmas morning.
Ok some tips are When you get it, the first prints you should do are the calibration prints. Things like the calibration cubes or the 3d benchy so you know what you need to calibrate Use a good slicer like Orca Slicer or Orca-Flashforge Slicer. FlashPrint 5 works fine but its more outdated now. Make

3D printer recommendations for 2025?
ngl for Gridfinity and lego storage prints you’ll want something super reliable and consistent, since you’ll be doing a ton of repetitive runs. the Prusa mk4s is probably your safest bet under 1.5k. it’s solid out of the box, works fine with macos (via Prusaslicer) and the support/community is massi

Assembled Satsuma AMP 3d printed engine
I use a flashforge adventurer 5m the drive gear is definitely not ideal, and if i had a smaller nozzle (i printed the whole thing on a .4mm nozzle) then i probably could have gotten it 100% accurate.

A1 Mini - Little worried about the cantilever design
As someone who owns resin printers, CoreXY, and bedslingers, there is nothing more reliable than the A1/A1 mini. The A1s are mechanically simple. The amount of belts, rails, screws, etc are much lower than on a CoreXY. Less maintenance, more reliability. The only stability concerns with any bedsling

Trying out Gandalf Fireworks Cart scene for Whispering Hollow (1:60ish) – not sure if it’s too much
I tried to do exactly this with PLA and a FlashForge Adventurer 5M Pro 3D printer, which has less detailed resolution than is possible with resin. It failed, so I resorted to other ways to add life to the scene. Your print should look lovely out front in place of the pumpkin wagon.

Just purchased. I read a while, and chose this over Bambu because of price and size of print. See comments please.
It is the same printer. I would use the Orca Flashforge slicer to start. People will suggest the regular Orca slicer but for new to 3D printing, it is harder to use. The Orca Flashforge is set up for the printer and is super easy to connect and get started and has a lot of options for customization.

is this 3D printer any good?
The flashforge adventurer 5m is beyond capable, and you can find them for around 260. If I had to buy a printer again and I had a 600 dollar budget, I'd buy it again and get a bunch of filament for it.

Flashforge Adventurer 5m - absolute workhorse. If you've an extra 80 or so definitely worth upgrading to the pro version!
