Just purchased. I read a while, and chose this over Bambu because of price and size of print. See comments please.
It is the same printer. I would use the Orca Flashforge slicer to start. People will suggest the regular Orca slicer but for new to 3D printing, it is harder to use. The Orca Flashforge is set up for the printer and is super easy to connect and get started and has a lot of options for customization.

I don’t want to ruin Christmas morning.
Ok some tips are When you get it, the first prints you should do are the calibration prints. Things like the calibration cubes or the 3d benchy so you know what you need to calibrate Use a good slicer like Orca Slicer or Orca-Flashforge Slicer. FlashPrint 5 works fine but its more outdated now. Make

Bambu Lab 3D printers: Never again - Jeff Geerling
As someone using a FlashForge Adventurer 5m, I can say, it could be far worse. At least Bambu isn't putting ads in your apps. After going through similar stuff with my cheap cameras from China ( which present goddamn full-screen mobile game ads ), I've very weary of no-name products now.

U1 Sidecar
The creator 5 pro ships with enclosure and chamber heater the base model is open build with no heater implementation. But pretty spot on with your reasoning aside from the klipper because I have 5 adventure 5m printers from flashforge already, so I’m actually stepping out of my ecosystem and bringin

AD5X Issue
On the AD5X, go to Device Info, Copy Logs. The machine will copy the logs into USB. Use password FFP0286&*%root to open files. The log should give you the firmware. I found the one called firmwareExe.txt. If you scroll past all the junk you should find the firmware version installed and the date/tim

Getting into 3D printing
Anyone mentioned blender or other design programs? you could download billions of 3D printer files that would be close to things you want, but to make the most out of 3D printing, building them yourself is the thing to do. on a serious note, it saves money to design things yourself, so a CAD program

New user...almost totally ignorant
As a side note, I was unable to get Orca Slicer to work wirelessly with my machine (AD5 Pro). I used their own Flash Print (trash software, but I could upload stls and send them wirelessly to my printer. It's like a slicer for toddlers, imho). I tried Orca Flashforge (which is just their own fork of

First 0.06 mm attempt
I have a Flashforge Adventurer 5M PRO, so not exactly the same, but I bet you can do better than this. Try this: https://www.reddit.com/r/FDMminiatures/comments/1rbnet7/high_quality_profile_version_20_is_here/ Do not use the filament or nozzle settings, only the process ones. I used them and I had to fix

Need help understanding startup print behavior and how to fix
That sounds like an error in the firmware start sequence. My 5M is running firmware version 3.2.3-2.2.3 and doesn't do that. I've been rejecting firmware update prompts on the touchscreen for a while now because some things changed in this version I wasn't expecting or were happy with. And there hav

A message to anyone who feels bad about getting a P2S and NOT the X2D
LOL you and I are in the exact same boat. I had a FlashForge Adventurer 5M, I liked that machine a lot and still do, but I really wanted multicolor printing, a better camera with a more integrated slicer, and the ability to run more engineering filaments like ABS-CF or PA6/nylon. So about a month ag
