Check out the Fujifilm X-S20. If you're in the US, check out Greentoe. This was before the world went fully to shit, but I was able to get my body only for a little less than original retail, and that was when the market had 2x tariff bumps on it. I got mine for like $1250, no tax or shipping iirc.

Recommendation about LUMIX S9
For the same price, get a Fujifilm X-S20. The only "con" is that it's APS-C, but a wide aperture helps with low light.
