FUJI XE5 OR FUJI X100VI for videography?
Neither. Amongst the Fuji's, the X-M5 is the rangefinder style body for you. The X-M5, X-S20, and X-H2 / X-H2S are the hybrid video cameras. They have a lot more options friendly to video stuff, including support for adding in fans to cool the thing down; better connectivity, etc. If you're really s

What is wrong with Fujifilm X system? I have an X-M5. Get that and the external fan and you're golden.... Honestly, if you came to me with 7K raw footage for architectural/interior shots I would be upcharging you as though you were asking me to edit a feature length film.... Here's my kit roughly pr

I want to get my first Fuji
I was in the exact same spot just a few months ago. I distinctly remember falling out of love with photography around last August, outside of work as a freelance photographer/videographer, I just didn’t feel motivated to shoot at all. That’s when I started looking for ways to reignite that spark, an

Slow shutter on Red Raptor VV Xl
If you could work at 24fps, it's a matter of duplicating each frame exactly 4 times in editing to achieve a normal speed 24fps clip. Thats the digital equivalent of shooting film at 6fps with 360 shutter and duplicating each frame 4 times to achieve a normal speed 24fps print. You're right, it might

X-M5 vs Just Going Straight to X-T30 lll?
"Perfectly fine" is also a massive overstatement. If the OP is picking his only camera, no way I'd recommend the M5 if he shoots in bright daylight. I'm a fan of Fujifilm; I still have my X-M1 and X-T1. I have an X-M5 and like it for indoor events and gatherings and as a plug-and-play webcam. But if

Should i buy xm5?
I’d add to another comment above that some people buy it looking for a camera with a viewfinder, and this one doesn’t have one, or looking for a built-in flash, and it doesn’t have that either — you know what I mean? If that’s your case and you’re looking for those features, I’d recommend other opti

Ya honestly I own a Fujifilm X-M5, a camera that costs $799 US? Put that S35 sensor with 6.2K open gate in a skin with SDI 12G, XLR audio, and timecode sync for $3000 and you have a winner.

What camera to rent for practice and hopefully buy in the future?
Honestly I am not too familiar with that Japanese still frame style you are referring to. What I can say is the Fujifilm X-M5 is a solid camera for video. Great film simulations, compact, and very capable for content creation. Worth looking into if video is a priority for you.

First camera that's fun to use and convenient (under 1000€)?
X-M5 would be a great option. Don’t worry about the lack of IBIS. The lens it comes with, and quite a few lenses you’ll be using with it, will have OIS (basically IBIS but inside the lens instead). The others will be fast lenses which help mitigate the need, and there are ways to get by without IBIS

Is the Ricoh GR xiii a good first camera for my use case?
I don't recommend a Ricoh if you want to do any amout of video work. It's a photography first camera and video is very limited. Get something like a Nikon Z30 or Z50ii with the Nikkor 24mm f1.7, or a Fujifilm X-M5 with a similar lens. It'll cost you less and get you better results. Plus you'll have
