Sunshine in my kitchen

I absolutely love the warm vibes of the pic, man. I'm also loving the Gaggia Classic with brass boiler. Mine is an E24, currently playing with a bottomless Normcore Slim and an IMS basket. Quite happy with the results - and the extra vertical space to fit in the balance without having to change the

What espresso machine did you start on, and would you recommend it to a beginner today?

Just got a Gaggia Classic a few months ago, so still learning lots but I think I’m doing ok. I’ve been temp surfing with it and that’s made wonders for consistency, I want to get one of the PID mods for it soon tho lol.

Installed the brass boiler and Silvia steam wand

It was a refurbished Gaggia Classic Evo Pro. The brass boiler has 25% more capacity and brass holds heat better than the original aluminum boiler. So it’ll have better performance all around once it’s heated up. The downside is it’s heavier and takes longer to heat up. If you want the brass boiler j

Opinions on upgrades

I’ll answer some! Yes, gaggiuino/gaggimate has PID and pre infusion. I think pre-infusion is only in Gaggimate Pro. (I’ll just talk about gagimate, go that route since its more user friendly from what i read here, even the community is more friendly) I know it works on all types of GCP since 1991. Y

have a dedica and a df54, what next?

I upgraded from a Dedica to a Gaggia Classic when my Dedica started leaking. It does feel much more like a 'proper' coffee machine and despite everyone saying milk steaming is bad on it for me it's still way better than on the Dedica. You will want to either learn about temperature surfing or look i

i want to make cafe style coffee at home

Hello there. While equipment is part of the equation, technique is equally important. Since you said you want milk based drinks, you need a way to steam the milk. What I would suggest is a Gaggia Classic Pro. It is not cheap, but has a good boiler to get the milk frothed up properly. For the grinder

Got a new toy! How much coffee grams you use?

2years later (Sorry!) but I want to share my happiness ... I recently bought a Gaggia Classic Evo pro (aluminium boiler no coating) and with the help of this thread, I managed to make a perfect espresso with 16gr of coffee, non pressurized filter 20 sec for 40-45 ml of brewed coffee. Simply joy....
