A thoughtfully executed product that addresses most (if not all) of the shortcomings of previous Gaggia Classic models. Overall it looks like an intentional and meaningful evolution rather than some hastily tacked on features.

I can only emphasize on balance. In my case I worked myself up to a DF64 on a Sage barista express, had constantly issues with consistency. I then bought a used Gaggia classic, restored it and it made a HUGE difference. Now I'm happy and wondering for how long 😅

Just got a Gaggia Classic a few months ago, so still learning lots but I think I’m doing ok. I’ve been temp surfing with it and that’s made wonders for consistency, I want to get one of the PID mods for it soon tho lol.

Assuming you’re not a beginner home coffee enthusiast, I’d be looking more at actual coffee maker brands, not appliance makers who also do coffee machines. Especially if quality is your goal and price isn’t an issue. The Gaggia Classic E24 at around $900 is as good a machine as you’ll find for home

That’s the Gaggia e24. Its design predecessors have lasted decades. I once pulled a very abused 20 year old Gaggia Classic from a thrift store and I just needed to clean and descale it and it was running like new.
