Tactix 8 51mm amoled.. did you regret not going for the solar -mip? I have 6X pro (mip) but want to upgrade.
I have a Fenix 8 AMOLED, absolutely zero regrets. Used to have a 6X Pro MIP and a Samsung watch with AMOLED, I was absolutely sure if I ever got a Garmin again it needed to be AMOLED. I just vastly prefer the look of AMOLED over MIP, obviously indoors but outdoors has not been an issue at all either

"Solar is gimmick on MIP Fenix" 🤣

Fenix 8 amoled sapphire, beginner friendly?
I just bought my first sports/smartwatch a month ago. I haven't regretted choosing the Garmin Fenix 8 43mm (amoled) I researched the size and features of the watch well in advance, so the choice was easy.

Are There Things the AW Still Can’t Do?
Nope. Got an ultra 2. Battery life on that sucks too. After a year with it went back to a Garmin Fenix 8 amoled. 10-15 day battery life. My AWU2 is only for music now so I don’t have to run with a phone.

Fenix 8 Amoled maps unusable?
Actually managed to fix this on my Fenix 8 Pro — map is now smooth and route calculation is near-instant with zero errors. What's wild is I went back and forth with Garmin support and they had no idea. From what I've seen on this sub, people have been chasing this for years and Garmin still hasn't p

Ugh. It happened again.
I’ve been using the Fenix 8 AMOLED 51 mm for a year without any issues. Before that, I owned several different Fenix models (3, 5, 5 Plus, 6, and 7) as well as the Tactix 7, and I never experienced problems such as a bricked device. If you browse the forums, you might get the impression that this is
