Magnetic Keyboards
Apparently many companies use "mechnical" as a generic term now and even some MAGNETIC keyboards are listed as such. That's because magnetic keyboards are mechanical. It is a generic term. The active switching components in classical mechanical switches are not the part that makes them mechanical or

What keyboard do you recommend?
The gamakay tk75 tmr is an insane keyboard for its price. Ive used the tk75 he v2 for a while now and the only issues it has i can fix them by recalibrating it. But the software is ahh

Should I switch?
Coming from Ornata Chroma I wanted something truly mechanical, so started looking into the widow V4 and huntsman. And that's where I got trapped in to the custom boards rabbit hole... Long story short:For gaming - I ended up using GamaKay TK75-HE due to the magnetic feature, but I had to swap the ca

Planning to buy a keyboard
Keychron. They're actually QMK even for their HE boards. Well, Gamakay used to be good and if you can find the first version of the TK75 HE it's got a pretty good driver as far as awful proprietary drivers go, and they have an option with actual silent switches. But the new version (TK75 HE v2) uses

Budget Gaming HE Keyboard
Gamakay TK75 HE (the original, not the v2, the v2 switched to Attack Shark's deceptive website for configuration).

Shine-Through with South Facing LEDs
Yes, a completely clear switch like that will help. South facing sockets are a plague and a cancer. The problem they are supposed to solve is a nothingburger and they don't actually solve it. I had to put risers on all the row 3 caps on my Gamakay TK75 HE despite the south-facing sockets.

keyboard recommendations
It's not QMK and depends on a web app that I can't see without the board to connect to it, but my experience with magnetic boards I've tried is that both the web apps and proprietary Windows apps are kind of pants. The least worst I've found is the Gamakay TK75 HE v1 and the v2 dropped that driver a

/r/MechanicalKeyboards Ask ANY Keyboard question, get an answer - December 27, 2025
I got a Gamakay TK75 HE V2 with the silent switches, and I hate typing on them. It feels like a membrane keyboard. I want to swap the switches and I saw that AKKO magnetic switches are within my budget. Will the Akko Astroaim or Astrolink be compatible with my keyboard? Also, I read in r/akkogear th

Looking for a very quiet keyboard (below more details)
OK, so you're looking for a magnetic board. TMR is just a distraction. Most boards are going to be wired or tri-mode (wired, bluetooth, and a 2.4 GHz wireelss dongle). If you use a tri-mode board wired only, you want to disconnect the battery so it doesn't turn into a Spicy Pillow from overcharging.
