Which one
The Halo75 V2 is actually pretty solid choice despite the lego comment lol - that design grows on you and the sound profile is really nice For that budget range you might also want to check the GMMK 2 75%, heard good things about their software and build quality. Just make sure whatever you pick has

I'm new, why does GMMK get so much hate?
'Better' is really subjective. The GMMK 2 has a compacted layout with a shortened zero on the numpad and no navigation keys beyond the cursors. That might be a deal-breaker for some. The GMMK 3 has a more conventional layout with the addition of a knob. You can get an HE variant of the GMMK 3 too, w

Buying new keyboard
GMMK is kind of overpriced and mediocre, not even QMK (by default, there is third party QMK firmware for some models but dang). 75% with knob: Monsgeek M1 v5 * ($80 barebones) Akko 5075B VIA * ($60 barebones) Royal Kludge RK R75 QMK/VIA * ($51 with coupon) Womier Q75 ($59) Womier Era75 ($63) Yunzii AL

Tired of the keyboard rabbit hole – help me choose!
if you are not competitive gamer i.e pro, semi pro or chasing top ranks in games HE keyboards might be overkill and just casual mechanical keyboards with nice switches and keycaps is the way to go. I personally was running with gmmk 2 for years now. And like it a lot. Very stable, durable, hot swapp

Another UK/ISO hot-swap recommendation post (sorry 😅)
There's really no limit to what you can spend - keyboards are a surprisingly deep rabbit hole. I don't really like to promote something of my own, but I made a video demonstrating this:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=trvGM4dEKVQ Right, let's do this... For quite a long time, the only way to get a me

Honestly? There will always be something better out there. And as long as there is something better, there will always be worse as well. If you’re happy with the deal you got, and you feel good enough about the overall performance of the keyboard, stick to it for a while and make your own conclusion

Buying/building advice I have a 12 year old K95 rgb with MX BROWNS that I was on a wait-list to get ages ago. It's starting to show its age with keys starting to not respond occasionally and LEDs starting to die. I'm looking for FULL SIZE keyboards only with ideally at least a few macro keys. Ideall

Keychron MOA style caps?
Thanks everyone for your suggestions. I couldn't find a single set of MT3 caps in my budget or any regular black or black and white MDA/ISA caps, I'm going to try these XDA caps for now. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CTJGHC9W?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1 Plus the spare Akko Rosewood switches, PE a

Which one would you pick?
It is not clear from their website but they do have mention on their support page that they provide VIA JSON files for at least some of the Furycube boards. GMMK boards are not QMK based at all. So I would out of those two get the Furycube, but only if there is an option for returning it for free if

Questions on DIY
i feel you, getting into diy keyboards can be confusing at first. what helped me was starting with a hot-swap kit like the Glorious GMMK 2 barebones - it comes with the case and pcb ready to go. then you just need switches (gateron yellows are solid for gaming), keycaps, and usb cable. kbdfans and d
