I'm new, why does GMMK get so much hate?
'Better' is really subjective. The GMMK 2 has a compacted layout with a shortened zero on the numpad and no navigation keys beyond the cursors. That might be a deal-breaker for some. The GMMK 3 has a more conventional layout with the addition of a knob. You can get an HE variant of the GMMK 3 too, w

Buying new keyboard
GMMK is kind of overpriced and mediocre, not even QMK (by default, there is third party QMK firmware for some models but dang). 75% with knob: Monsgeek M1 v5 * ($80 barebones) Akko 5075B VIA * ($60 barebones) Royal Kludge RK R75 QMK/VIA * ($51 with coupon) Womier Q75 ($59) Womier Era75 ($63) Yunzii AL

Another UK/ISO hot-swap recommendation post (sorry 😅)
There's really no limit to what you can spend - keyboards are a surprisingly deep rabbit hole. I don't really like to promote something of my own, but I made a video demonstrating this:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=trvGM4dEKVQ Right, let's do this... For quite a long time, the only way to get a me

Buying/building advice I have a 12 year old K95 rgb with MX BROWNS that I was on a wait-list to get ages ago. It's starting to show its age with keys starting to not respond occasionally and LEDs starting to die. I'm looking for FULL SIZE keyboards only with ideally at least a few macro keys. Ideall

Which one would you pick?
It is not clear from their website but they do have mention on their support page that they provide VIA JSON files for at least some of the Furycube boards. GMMK boards are not QMK based at all. So I would out of those two get the Furycube, but only if there is an option for returning it for free if

As requested....some sound tests
Fortunately I prepared for this day. I bought a barebones GMMK 3 basically to use for spares if I needed them (th truth is I wanted an FR4 plate and could get one in a barebones kit for a few ££ more than just buying the parts I wanted). So it's already built. A simple case swap and I should have it

I Think My GMMK 3 Pro Has Reached It’s Peak
it is not QMK/VIA compatible, the GMMK 3, and the GMMK 2 is but I believe it takes some effort to set up similar to the numpad. You have to alter the firmware and switch it to a diff file for it to work. Had to do that for my GMMK Numpads. My numpads cost more than the full keyboards lol. The GMMK 3

So 2 years ago I bought my first high end keyboard A gmmk pro barebone to mod and make my perfect keyboard. ( I know that for the price there are much better things out there, but I really liked the design, much better than any keychron (again my opinion only) which took a major role in my decision)

Experiences with Keychron V1 Max?
Of course these 230 boards will be an upgrade, a 70 keychron board will be just a let down, especially you have at least a gmmk pro. Staying under the 150-200 range will be all mediocre boards.
