Solved the constant drop-outs after years of frustration
100% I never had an issue with my original Google Wi-Fi or Nest Pro when using a wired backhaul.

Need some wifi help now that i upgraded to fiber
That thing you're calling a "splitter" is a TP-Link brand 8 port switch. It looks to be a model TL-SG108 which is an unmanaged gigabit switch, which does not support PoE (Power over Ethernet). Assuming Port #1 is connected to your Router, then other devices (not requiring PoE) could be connected to

help!
For an opposing POV, I have 2 of the older Google Wi-Fi (GJ2CQ) and 2 of the slightly newer Nest Wi-Fi (H2D) and they've been working nearly flawlessly for years. The only times I've had issues with them is when the ISP goes out. In which case I simply need to wait for the ISP to come back up and th

Smart home from scratch, where do I even start?
I use Switchbot roller shades, Switchbot sensors (for temp and humidity), as well as their blind tilts and button pushers. Kasa smart switches, Hue lights, and a Nest Learning Thermostat with an Aprilaire whole house humidifier slaved to it for wintertime. Love them all. I automate each brand via it

Google nest wifi - have recent updates (April 26) improved it??
That might explain my Nest Wifi router and AP doing better about staying in Wired mode. I have them connected via a MOCA backhaul, but they would constantly change from Wired to Wireless with no obvious reason. Possibly a temporary interruption in my service from my ISP or a temporary blip in the po

Google Nest Wifi alternatives
I bought a Google Nest WiFi pair in 2018. The second unit kept going offline. Took it all out and got a better single router. Then last year discovered coverage issues and thought Google might have better firmware by now. This time, I consulted Gemini on how to factory reset and start over. Turns ou

compatibility with google wifi
The three options you describe will work but personally I would upgrade from the original Google WiFi mesh since this is quite old tech with WiFi 5 instead of 6. There's quite a jump there so the Nest Pro or Hyperoptic's mini hub should offer an improvement in speed and network stability. I use Eero

Also made switch from Google WiFi Mesh (pre-Nest branding) to Deco and have had no issues.

New Mesh Wifi Advice
Maybe a hot take, but why not just buy another Google Nest WiFi system? Since you know it works, but your existing set just started to fail. If you buy the same system (new or like new condition) then it should work well for you.
