Gpd didnt update anything thrmselves to that bios, it's as low effort as it can be, from their behalf. (There's even stuff in the Win5's bios that shows how low effort Gpd are, since they forgot to delete presets that are above their hard-imposed limits) What the bios updates brought was whatever Am

The trojan thing has been an issue with their products for years. They infamously gave a "LOL" response when it was pointed out to them on Twitter once, IIRC (this was some years back already). You can search Handheld Companion Patreon, it should be the first link, the github one doesn't support Win5. And yes you can assign shortcut to back buttons, I assigned HC menu to L4 and keyboard to R4, I didn't like the original on screen keyboard that came with GPD Win5.

Received my Win5 today. Loaded up bazzite immediately. Same issue with disconnecting WiFi. Tried the fix of disabling power management. That seems to have extended the amount of time I can stay connected from under 5 minutes to around 10-15 minutes, but I still get disconnected. Only solution is to
