Iam offically planning on buying a GPD Win 4, should i settle for a 8840u or the AI 9?(bit of a rant incoming as well)

I have win 4, win mini 2024 and win max2. Out of them all i love the win max 2 bigger screen size and can be used for work and play. If you order from GPD official website they do have refurbished A ,B,C grades if you want it cheaper also brand new gpdstore.net

Picked this thing up for 630$ not bad right? 😁

Well, i dont know what the exact needs for IT work is, other than maybe needing to plug into a server and doing remote access. I think a Win4/5 is a no go for you, too gaming focused, not enough functionality on its own for actual work without having to dock it first, which may or may not work for y

My Thoughts on GPD Win 5

Sure, if you want to get nit-picky there were a bunch of small issues on almost every device aside from the original 6800u Win Max 2, but that could be said about any handheld manufacturer. No company is above design defects. With that said in terms of general overall system design which is what we’

Is it worth it

Form factor didn't work for me. I traded it in for a 6800U GPD win max 2 and it's great as a batocera machine that I can take on travels and do some work on it if needed sort of thing. All devices have some sort of compromise. Your needs will determine which machine fits you the best. I'm looking fo

Looking for a mini-laptop with a high-refresh rate display (<12 inches, <$1000)

GPD Win Max 2 (10,1"), GPD Pocket 4 (8"), OneXPlayer G1 (8,8") but the Ryzen HX 370 won't be cheap. On battery the refresh rate usually is lowered to preserve battery. IMHO I would look at 13,3-14" laptop that you can actually use. I have the GPD Win Max 2" and even though it's smaller and easier to

Does anyone have buyers remorse(gpd win max 2 2023)

I've had mine going on 2 years now I absolutely love it and have since Day One (I pre-ordered mine and it actually came about 2 months before I was expecting it. That was awesome!). It's plenty powerful and even at 1080p hooked up to monitor while not super duper ideal the games are still very playa

Steam Deck owner looking for something more...

Oh, I definitely feel the money factor, haha. I get so neck deep into researching the device that best fits my needs, though. I haven't had a lot of hands-on experience with a lot of the handhelds on the market, but a lot of what you're looking for overlaps with what I was looking for. I wanted a ma

Just a guys opinion on gpd products form factor (owner of multiple win products)

I also think the Win Max 2020 was the best form factor. Large enough to do some light work on, not too large to use as a handheld (though still on the larger side). The Win Max 2 is nice, but it's just way too big. I ended up getting a OneX G1 for HX 370 models. It's the same size as the old WM1. It

I'm starting to feel a bit down about the Xbox Ally's screen. Suggestions?

I was in the same situation as you. After getting the Legion Go I returned my Ally. I got lucky and an old coworker of mine became a manager at the Best Buy I got my ally at and returned it for me and applied the credit to pay for my Go. I fell in love with the larger screen. Then the Ally X came ou
