New backpacker (after 23 years) stuck: Atmos AG 65 vs. Kakwa 55?

This is sort of an irrelevant reply (apologies) because im about to compare 2 packs youve not mentioned. However i have a 65L Gregory Baltoro and its 2.2kg before ive even put anything in it. I LOVE that pack. Its my go to if im loading up or packing my fears in UK January weather and sticking the h

What is your favorite pack for backpacking camping?

I somewhat agree with this, but it's better to have a slightly larger pack than you usually need. Just because you're gear may only be 40L and your pack is 60L doesn't mean you're 'lugging around 20 liters of empty pack', as that extra 20L worth of pack material is probably just a few ounces in weig

Gregory Zulu vs Baltoro 65 for backpacking?

I own a Gregory Zulu 65 (purchased in 2022) and a Baltoro 95 Pro (purchased in 2020). The Baltoro series packs are heavier, more robust, have more features typically, and are designed for heavier loads. The Zulu is designed for lighter loads and is a simpler pack when compared to the Baltoro. My Zul

Will I regret buying a backpack with more volume than I need?

My comfort items will always be my pack and sleeping pad. My Gregory Baltoro 65L is overkill, but if I cut weight where I can like tent, miscellaneous, tools, etc., then I can have a nice sleeping pad for a side sleeper like me and possibly upsize my tent if I’m taking a partner. r/ultralight_jerk i

What backpacks are y'all using? New to hammock camping and looking for advice.

The pack that fits. Osprey is a good brand and does not fit me at all. I have very broad shoulders and have had no luck with Osprey. I really like my Gregory Paragon 68 for family trips. I have a 3 and5 year old. My wife uses a Gregory Deva 65L. For my solo trips I love my ULA catalyst but it would

Any 55-60L backpack recommendations?

Maybe take a look at the Gregory Paragon 60 which is probably your best bet under $400 which is the lighter, more agile cousin to the Baltoro The Osprey Aether 65 is also quite a good option to consider with it being slightly over the 60L but has reallyyy good warranty! So maybe to consider. 9 Best

Gregory Stout 35 RC vs Osprey Kestrel 38 for technical day hikes and overgrown trails?

I own a few backpacks of different sizes from Osprey and Gregory. They both make excellent and very durable backpacks, but there some notable differences between the brands. Gregory backpacks are usually 15-30% lighter than their Osprey counterparts, but Osprey backpacks are more feature rich (e.g.

Good backpacks for really tall people

Im the same height. After trying on many packs at an outfitter, I broke down and got a Gregory Baltoro 75. Its super comfortable and I love it. The largest cons would be that its rather expensive and a bit heavy as far as backpacks go. I don’t remember what torso length its set for at the moment but
